DIY holiday gift tags

You will need:

rubber erasers
card stock
ink pads
typewriter (optional)
paper cutter (optional)
black pen on hand (if you’re like me)

I started by using a paper cutter to cut a bunch of 3 x 2.5 inch pieces of paper.

Then I drew a tree and a star on the rubber erasers and cut them out with a razor blade. Neither of these things seemed important to photograph at the time but in retrospect…

Then you have this:

Use your new tree stamp (or whatever stamp you made) to stamp all the cards.

Then use the star stamp to put stars on the trees (or, you know, creative license).

I used a typewriter to add the little To and From to the tags.

But if you don’t have a typewriter, or you just don’t want to type the To and From on for each individual tag, you could type up a sheet of To and From business cards, cut those out, and then add the trees.

And this is the part where I said, “Wow! I haven’t made silly mistake yet!” followed by, “oh, wait…”

Half the tags had a period after To and From, and the other half had colons. This is where the black pen comes in.

And presto! Holiday gift tags! I’m going to tape mine on, but you could punch a whole in the corner and tie them to your gifts with pretty ribbon or string!

Happy Holidays!
