Part One: Bob asks for a ride. 

Needless to day, I panicked. I’d also just stepped out of the shower which made it slightly more confusing.

Part Two: We tell Mom and Dad. 

Once we were there and Bob was all hospital-suited up, we decided we should probably tell our parents. They were at our cousin’s graduation party and we realized we hadn’t left them a note.

“Should I call them?” I said.

“Naw. Just text them that we went on a casual visit to the hospital and there’s no need to panic.” Bob said.

“Ok. Done.”

“Done what?” Bob said.

“Done texting Dad.” I said.

“What’s the matter with you!?”

“I’m honestly not sure.” I said.

Part Three: Oh Yeah, we have another brother. 

After making several jokes with the nurse about faking an ailment to get some good drugs, then next logical step was to snap chat Joey and bring him up to speed. Obviously that picture is gone. But we do have this:

Appropriate? Naw. But did we laugh? You betcha.

Part Four: The Facebook aftermath. 

Once Bob was safely back home, there was nothing left to do except tell Facebook what happened.

Some of you may or may not know, but Facebook is a blog now!

And once we knew Bob was safe, we could move on to more pressing matters.

Just so everyone knows that $10 is still up for grabs. So start guessing because there’s money to be had!

The caramel debate.

After seeing how other parts of the US pronounce “mayonnaise” and “pajamas,” I now understand why so many people have asked where I’m originally from.

And most of the country can’t hear the difference between Kerry and Cary, which is so bizarre because they’re two very different names!

I had a lot of fun flipping through these maps, take a few minutes and maybe you will too :)

On Saturday we ventured up to Cathedral Ledge, even though it was super windy and very wet. The good part was that there was almost no-one else there.

We thought these roots looked like a shark!

On Sunday we found some hiking trails to explore.

We saw a dam but no beaver.

And some geese!

I made some rock towers.

I got some sweet action shots of Ryan throwing rocks into the water. We were trying to see how big of a splash he could make. He wanted to go swimming but it was a tad too cold.

We got in a quick game of mini golf, WHICH I LOVE!

Allegedly, Ryan let me win. Pffffft, yeah right.

No trip is complete without making a food monster.

Monday was the only day nice enough for Attitash!

We raced on the Alpine slides, rode the Mountain Coaster, and Ryan jumped onto this giant air bag!

It snowed on Mt. Washington Sunday night into Monday, and you can just make it out over these trees (and Ryan’s finger).

It’s hard to go away for more than a weekend because I don’t get a lot of vacation time, so three day weekends are the best! Although, I do have a week off in July. Maybe I’ll go on a real adventure! But probably I’ll spend the week reading and sewing, aha.

“Might” is strength/ability or the expression of a possibility. Such as

1) The monster used all of his might to lift the house and throw it into the ocean.

In this example, might expresses how strong the monster is. Strong enough to lift a house.

OR

2) I might eat pizza for lunch tomorrow.

Example two hasn’t happened yet. It could happen, but it’s also possible it won’t happen. And so we use “might.”

While a “Mite” looks like this:

Similar to “eats shoots and leaves” vs “eats, shoots, and leaves,” confusing might with mite can leave you saying one thing when you mean another. So be careful out there!

I know, I know. You don’t care about what I’m making. You’re like, “But hasn’t your Mom said anything funny lately?” and, “Did anyone do anything crazy at work?” Yes to both those things.

In fact, my mom split her toe open over the weekend. Then she AND MY DAD (c’mon, Dad!) sent out some alert texts. Aka graphic pictures of the damage. It looked kind of like this:

I’m probably going to take a break from Wednesday Whale Love for a bit, allow this sewing tunnel vision to play out, and then see what happens. Does project tunnel vision happen to anyone else?

Some of you know and some of you might not, but my little buddy Panda is actually named Bailey. I just call him Panda.

Which is probably pretty confusing for him. Luckily for me, I don’t care.

Ahahahahhaha. That was mean.

But a couple of months ago I said to myself, “Kerry. Why don’t you get that smelly little pile of fuzz a new name tag? Maybe he will be less confused!”

I don’t know if you’ve even used a pet-tag making machine before but they are really neat! And maybe you’re like, “Uhm, Kerry. You’re simple.” This may be the case. But if you aren’t finding joy in even the smallest things in life then what are you doing? You’re doing life wrong, that’s what you’re doing! And I just don’t have time to do it wrong.

Now, his new name tag was short lived. Only about 3 weeks. As it turns out, to change your pet’s name you have to get a new pet license from the town hall and update all of their medical records. Pfffft. No. So we had to switch back to the old tag. But for those 3 weeks, my Dad and I had a BLAST trying to see how long it would take my Mom to notice aha.

Next I’m going to get him one that says, “YOLO.” What would you change his name to?

But since Borders is closed (even the Website redirects to Barns & Noble!) I realized I would have to take matters into my own hands. It took a couple of tries but I finally came up with:

Both of which are now available in the shop! I’ll eventually make more like mine, which is bigger and has that handy little pocket, but I was waiting on a massive supply of rainbow zippers to come in.
