Panda’s new name

Oh, Panda!

Some of you know and some of you might not, but my little buddy Panda is actually named Bailey. I just call him Panda.

Which is probably pretty confusing for him. Luckily for me, I don’t care.

Ahahahahhaha. That was mean.

But a couple of months ago I said to myself, “Kerry. Why don’t you get that smelly little pile of fuzz a new name tag? Maybe he will be less confused!”

I don’t know if you’ve even used a pet-tag making machine before but they are really neat! And maybe you’re like, “Uhm, Kerry. You’re simple.” This may be the case. But if you aren’t finding joy in even the smallest things in life then what are you doing? You’re doing life wrong, that’s what you’re doing! And I just don’t have time to do it wrong.

Look how much happier he is!

Now, his new name tag was short lived. Only about 3 weeks. As it turns out, to change your pet’s name you have to get a new pet license from the town hall and update all of their medical records. Pfffft. No. So we had to switch back to the old tag. But for those 3 weeks, my Dad and I had a BLAST trying to see how long it would take my Mom to notice aha.

Next I’m going to get him one that says, “YOLO.” What would you change his name to?

Panda learns to drive.

With my parents away last weekend and no one to tell me, “No,” I thought I’d teach Panda to drive!

He had to stand on my lap because his feet don’t reach the pedals. Obviously.

Scared Panda

Earlier today we had a nasty, though short, storm. I’m talking heavy rain, lightning, and crazy loud thunder. And wouldn’t you know, Panda is terrified of thunder. Solution?

Jump in my lap while I’m sewing. Poor little guy wouldn’t budge! So I took a break, checked some email, and got a picture.

Panda meets the washer

Panda in the washer? Check.

Time for more funny situations starring Panda?

Yes!

My parents are going away, and you know what that means…

I need some new ideas for where to put Panda!

He’s already been in most of the larger appliances and occasionally naps under the ottoman, but if you have any other ideas I’d love to hear them and hopefully I can make them happen!

A dog and his whale

I found a whale toy at Target and brought it home for Panda. He’s in love :)

Happy Sunday!

A napping Panda

Took me a while to hunt down Panda last night. I finally found him:

Hiatus = over

And we’re back!

We’ve (I’ve) had a couple of weeks to regroup, make a lot of lists, had a lot of friends ask me to make things for them, and haven’t made a single thing! But enough is enough, Kerry. It’s time to get back in the game. And make things for your patient, patient friends.

Mostly, I felt like I creatively ran dry. Sometimes you just have to take a break and brain storm like crazy to get back in the swing of things. And read a lot of books. If you like that sort of thing.

To help, I bought some giant glasses for Panda and I to share. For when we aren’t feeling very creative.

He clearly loves them.

And because the weather is turning amazing again (and HOPEFULLY staying amazing) I can get back to “Sundays are for Rollerblading!”

In this next one I was trying to dance. Something I’m not coordinated enough to do on roller blades.

Eventually this will spill into the week. But it needs to get a wee bit warmer and stay light out a wee bit longer.

windows 7 & the sims

I got a new computer! This means a couple of things:

1. I have to get used to Windows  7. I don’t do well with change so… I hate it. I can’t figure out how to view any of my pictures as thumbnails. I can’t figure out how to take just certain pictures off my camera. And I can’t find files that we moved over because the computer put them into some secret storage space or something.

2. When I play the Sims, my computer doesn’t freeze, over heat, or shut down anymore! I’ve been playing for almost 24 hours!

So, as you can see, there are some pros and cons.

Just, you know, a normal Saturday night. With my dog. Playing the Sims.

He helps me pick out their outfits.

While typing this, I learned there there is a “Media Center” in Windows 7! And it looks very difficult to use. Awesome.

Just to get this picture in this post I had to download it onto my lap top, edit and re-size in Photoshop, email it to myself, save it to my desktop, and then import it.

Pffffffffffffft.

I whine, but I’ll [eventually] figure this mess out. Just in time for Windows to come out with a newer version.

places I find Panda

Sometimes I find Panda in strange places or doing strange things around the house. I wish I knew what he was thinking.

Here he is hanging out under my desk. He likes to sit under there when I’m working. And when I’m not home.

I don’t know if you can tell, but he’s hugging the pillow here. Shortly after I snapped this he fell asleep. He looked like a little kid clinging to a beloved toy. Or a beloved pillow, aha.

I think he likes to sit on top of this chair because he can 1) see out the window and 2) it gets a lot of sunlight and is warm.

But one time he fell off backwards and hurt his back. He couldn’t move for several days so we try to keep him off of the chair back.

He’ll sit in the doorway of my brother’s room and stare at a corner of the ceiling. He’ll sit on the shower mat while someone’s in the tub. Sometimes he hides under the foot stool with only his nose sticking out!

What sorts of funny things do your pets do?
